The Lenovo Dual-Mode Wireless Touch Mouse N700 was probably designed after the popular Yoga ultrabook convertibles of Lenovo. The idea behind this ‘dual-mode’ mouse was to have a mouse and a laser presenter in one device. I think the N700 succeeds here.
I have been using the new ThinkPad Yoga for couple of months now, and it has become my main travel companion during that time. During my those last few trips, i have been carrying my huge powerbank that i use to charge up my iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices that i carry with me on the trips.
Hyper-V may be preferred to run Windows virtual machines due to its excellent 2D graphics performance and disk performance. Hyper-V is also necessary to develop Windows Phone applications. When I first tried Hyper-V, I decided I wanted to keep using it because it was so easy and straightforward to use.
My 6 months old ThinkPad X1 Carbon recently developed a battery problem, like my ThinkPad X1. The battery in my X1 Carbon that developed the problem was again made by SMP, like the ThinkPad X1’s original battery, which had a similar problem. I am not sure whether SMP has some production issues with these RapidCharge lithium polymer battery, or it is an intrinsic problem with these Li-polymer battery when put under the stress of RapidCharge, or i am just simply unlucky!!
Recently I received a brand new IdeaCentre A520 from Lenovo. This is the first time i have used an IdeaCentre product, and this is second Idea product range that i have used and owned so far (the other one was an IdeaPad Yoga 13). After two weeks of ownership, i have to say that I am very impressed with the IdeaCentre A520, in terms of both design and quality of workmanship. If Lenovo ever decides to sell Idea range of products in Australia, I would definitely be a willing buyer of this product range.
Lenovo have recently released the new ThinkPad Helix to the western markets, which comes with the new 45 watts power adapter, which has the same rectangular power connector that are used on the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Carbon Touch. Some people are wondering whether they can use this 45 watts power adapter with their ThinkPad X1 Carbon/Carbon Touch, and thus not having to carry their 90 watts power adapter behemoth with their svelte X1 Carbon ultrabook, or fork out over $120 dollars for the 90 watts ultraslim travel adapter with the additional adapter head (another $20 dollars or so).
